Fossano, Cuneo's country heart

Hotel Romanisio is in a town famous for its monuments, its medieval quarter and the casle of the Savoia-Acaia. Periodics events stil show its historical traditions, such as the Palio dell'Oca which takes places every spring in the square in front of the casle. Other towns famous for their medieval or reinassance centres, such as Manta, Staffarda, Saluzzo, Revello and Mondovė, are just few kilometres away from Fossano.

Hotel Romanisio is situated in the centre of a big area whare we can find Turin, the city of Savoia's family, Piedmont's chief town; alba, the centre of the Langhe, famous for the white truffles and for its wine (expecially Barolo and Barbaresco), and Bra, where was born the slow-food tradition in opposite to the fast food habits and where Mr Sandro Petrini (father of the Slow Food) organizes CHEESE, an international famous exhibition of various kinds of cheese.
People fond of golf can frequent the exclusive golf club Le Chiocciole in Cherasco, a little town near Fossano, while the people fond of ski and alpine sports can finf famous ski centres of Alpi Marittime such as Limone, Frabosa, and the mountaineering centres of Alpi Cozie, as the Monviso group.

Fossano can be easily reached through the Turin-Savona motorway or by train, since the town has a busy railway station. The airport Cuneo-Levaldigi is just 10 kilometres away from Fossano. Daily flights link it to Rome and Nice.
